Unveiling the unreal: Comprehensive imaging review of hepatic pseudolesions
نویسندگان
چکیده
Hepatic pseudolesions are defined as non-neoplastic focal abnormalities of the liver which can mimic or conceal true lesions. It is particularly common in due to its unique dual blood supply and existence multilevel anastomosis between them. Because recent advances CT MRI technology, they being increasingly encountered daily practice. Broadly be categorised (1) Focal parenchymal like fatty change, fat sparing, confluent fibrosis, segmental hypertrophy regenerative nodules, (2) Perfusion include transient hepatic enhancement portal vein obstruction, third inflow, intrahepatic shunts, arterial occlusion venous (3) Imaging pitfalls compression, unenhanced vessels pseudolipoma. essential for radiologists familiar with typical atypical imaging features avoid mistaking them sinister pathologies also overlooking underlying hidden pathologies.

15 صفحه اولRadiologic manifestation of hepatic pseudolesions and pseudotumors in the third inflow area
Hepatic pseudolesions and pseudotumors of the third inflow area are sometimes encountered on imaging. Generally, differentiating these lesions of true hepatic neoplasm on radiological examinations is easy with the knowledge of common sites in the liver and characteristic indications of these lesions. However, they occasionally mimic hepatocellular carcinoma in various imaging modalities. In thi...

metastases are the most common malignant hepatic lesions and considered to be the most frequent indication for imaging of the liver. the accurate detection and characterization of liver metastasis remains a critical issue at the initial diagnosis of primary cancer or during the course of patient treatment. in the recent years, the advent of highly efficient imaging modalities and new techniques...
متن کاملHepatic tuberculosis: a multimodality imaging review
OBJECTIVES We aim to illustrate the multimodal imaging spectrum of hepatic involvement in tuberculosis (TB). Whilst disseminated tuberculosis on imaging typically manifests as multiple small nodular lesions scattered in the liver parenchyma, isolated hepatic tuberculosis remains a rare and intriguing entity. METHODS Indubitably, imaging is the mainstay for detection of tubercular hepatic lesi...
